*Lessons run for one hour. Riders will be allotted 45 minutes instruction "in the saddle" for lessons, beginning 15 minutes after the schedule beginning of the lesson time. Horses will be groomed and tacked until student becomes proficient enough to do so without supervision. Grooming and tacking instruction is available. Students are welcome to arrive early for their lesson (up to 1/2 hour).
Cancellations
Lessons cancelled IN ADVANCE may be made up (any time during current enrollment). Lessons not cancelled in advance of lesson time, can not be made up.
Arriving Late
Riders arriving late (with prior arrangement with the instructor on duty) will have shortened riding time. Riders arriving more than 10 minutes late without a phone call will not be allowed to ride, and cannot make the lesson up.
Stable Notes:
Please do not bring dogs into the stable. Likewise, please do not leave guests under the age of 18 with your student without adult supervision. Visiting children are to remain within arms reach of responsible adult at all times while at the stable, and are not allowed in the saddling area.
If it is fun and it doesn't directly involve a horse, it is not allowed at the stable. (i.e. climbing trees, throwing rocks, running, hitting balls,) although sitting quietly under a tree at a picnic table doing your homework is quite okay.
Please do not feed the horses unless approved by staff. Some horses can get very greedy!
Please do not feed your children (or any part thereof) to our horses. Horses are herbivorous and humans are quite hard to digest. Thank you.
